Bristol View Homeowners
Association [HOA]
Minutes of
the Board Meeting 19
April, 2007
A meeting of the board of the Homeowners' Association was held on Thursday,
April 19 at the home of Gary Aron. Present were Gary, Marilyn Steane, Bert
Stanley, Bill Tomlinson and Gloria Wilner. Pat Fasano was present for our
discussion of landscaping.
The minutes of the February meeting were accepted as read.
Bert has been seeking a replacement for Stacey Estrich of Backyard Secrets; Lill
Schaeffer will take over the same areas with an emphasis on flowers. She will
not be involved in pruning or weeding. Bert has also asked Lill for suggestions
on grooming the "eyebrow" areas. She will also be available for
contracting with any resident who desires her services.
Mulching of front yards will be completed in time for the Memorial Day weekend.
Any residents desiring mulching of their side and/or back yards must notify Pat
Fasano by May 15; such additional work--in areas not visible from the
street--will be paid for by residents, and will be completed by Pat's crew by
the end of June.
Responsibility for the clearing of snow from fire hydrants is the
responsibility of the Bushnells Basin Fire Department. At the beginning of snow
season, BBFD makes sure that the hydrants are staked so that they can be
located easily. During times of sudden or heavy snow, the fire department
sometimes finds it difficult to shovel out, in a timely fashion, all the
hydrants in the area they cover, and have sometimes asked for assistance.
Residents are welcome, IF THEY FEEL ABLE, to help the fire department by
shoveling just enough to make the top of the hydrant accessible.
Neighborhood backyard inspections will resume when weather permits.
All specifications for sealing and/or staining products for decks may be found
on the website. Choices of color are three: clear, matching the siding, or
matching the house trim.
Two homes have pending driveway repairs--#58 Bristol View and #1 Spruce Ridge.
The financial statement for the first quarter of 2007 was reviewed and found to
be satisfactory. Use of salting was somewhat over estimate.
The next meeting of the board will be at Warren Knapp's home on June 12, 2007.
Respectfully submitted,
Gloria Wilner, recording secretary
