Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Association

Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM, Gary Aron presiding.

Current Board members, new home owners, Marilyn Steane of the Good
Neighbor Committee, Pat Fasano and Chris Andrews of PFJ Property Maintenance, and Bonnie Gionta from Hatch Leonard Naples  wereintroduced at the outset of the meeting.


Bonnie Gionta presented the extent of coverage of the Master Policy, Umbrella coverage, and the Unit Homeowners policy. She emphasized the Master policy for the BVHOA did not remove the obligation of the individual homeowner to have insurance for the individual home and its contents.

Marilyn Steane ,of the Good Neighbor Committee, stated the purpose of her group was to welcome new residents, notify members of  illness or loss of loved ones, availability  of support when group captains were informed of any of these occurrences. She announced that the annual Block Party would take place on Sunday 21 August on the eyebrow at 29-31 BVD.  A list of homeowners and their individual e-mail addresses is available to those wishing to have one.

Candidates to replace outgoing Board members introduced themselves.
Candidates were: Warren Knapp, Jim Tulloch; Lee May, and Gloria Wilner.

Gerry Severynse, outgoing Treasurer, gave his report, details of whichcan be found on the BVHOA website. Bert Stanley and John Flowers each reported on their areas of responsibility, details of which can be found in prior Board minutes.

Bill Tomlinson commented on his role as community association manager. He emphasized that he is required to provide a "Statement of Architectural Compliance" when anyone wishes to sell their home stating that everything about the home is either original construction and landscaping provided by the builder or covered by an approved Exterior Improvement Agreement. Thus it is important that any changes Owners wish to make to their home's exterior or landscaping be submitted to the HOA Board for approval.

 Election results for new members of the Board were announced. Fifty-one of total possible eighty-three votes were counted with result that Gloria Wilner and Warren Knapp were elected.

Homeowners were advised that unsolicited door bell ringers should be referred to apply to the Town for Peddlers Licenses to be legitimate.
